Roles & Responsiblities : Practice Head will be responsible for the following:- • Engaging global customers through presales support activities • Engaging analysts and technology domain specialists globally to liaison with customers • End to end responsibility – includes pre-bid and post-bid customer interactions until handover to delivery team • Providing strategic inputs to the bid response – controlling the flow and approach • Will carry a business target for that practice • Guiding the technical architecture team with business perspective – in designing a winnable solution • Co-ordination with sales, internal teams and horizontals for team formation • Interaction with business finance teams and delivery teams for effort estimation and pricing. • Interaction with product vendors and other strategic partners in all presale and post sale activities • Team management – workload balancing and performance management • Working with BDM s/ Delivery teams to convert such opportunities • Liaison with International partners for providing end to end solution across geos. • Work with Service Delivery team to execute the project. • To achieve the targets for the practice • Responsible for Solution Design and practice specific data for the Presales team. • Building the Team for the Practice (Selection). • Responsible to build Practice and drive practice maturity • Interaction with the partners and vendors • Creating new innovative solutions for delivery • ITIL certification and understanding

Skills: Srorage , Network Management Job Requirements : Preferred candidates should have about 10+ years experience covering Practice Management (Storage), Product development / management, delivery, team management, P&L responsibility in the areas of Storage (DAS, NAS, SAN) etc. • Relevant 4+ years in a consulting environment, including time supporting sales and managing technical staff and implementations. • Experience with modern software development methodologies, with emphasis on software and hardware architecture, and infrastructure design and development. • At least 3 years of experience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning. • Strong practical Unix or Linux systems administration skills. • Strong application software development for one or more of the Linux, Unix (e.g. Solaris), Windows NT and Windows 2000 operating systems. Systems programming or OS internal level skills would be an advantage. • Understanding of computer server architectures, including peripheral interfaces (SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs (SMP). • Familiarity with systems management concepts, processes and standards (e.g. SNMP); capacity/performance management and tuning; and storage and network management. • Understanding of modern IT production data center and Internet (ISP/ASP) hosting operations. • Strong Perl programming/scripting skills desired. Programming in C/C++ and Unix shell are also an advantage. • A good practical understanding of Web-based application development, including cgi-bin, and Apache or IIS server platforms.
